Dr Robert Panjkov established Beaconsfield Dental 30 years ago in 1988.
Now, three decades on and a new location later, he works alongside his wife Lisa, their two daughters Melissa and Jacinta, and an experienced team of dentists.
In 2015, Beaconsfield Dental made the exciting move to new state-of-the-art facilities. But the move – which took the team from a two-chair practice to a seven dental room practice – required some more hands on deck.
“Up until the new practice I had been behind the scenes,” Lisa said, who is now the practice manager.
“I used to manage everything at home – it was smaller but now we have a large team and it’s a lot more work. Our daughter Melissa is the assistant manager and helps out with reception and our other daughter, Jacinta, also helps out in-between study.”
But despite the change in location, some things, such as the Panjkov’s dedication to environmentally friendly dentistry and their general love for their work, have remained the same.
“We enjoy our work and we want people to feel comfortable here,” Lisa said.
“We’ve always been a family oriented business and we wanted to be welcoming because so many people have a genuine fear of the dentist.
“Our job is people related and what Robert really loves is that he’s got third generation patients. He loves the relationship he’s built up with people and in all our married life I’ve never once heard him say ’I don’t want to go to work’ – he just loves it.”
